It is imperative that students take the ISAT Student Tutorials before beginning the ISAT. The Student Tutorials provide instructions to assist students and teachers on the ISAT. Tutorials are available for each grade and subject.

Tutorials provide information that includes:
  • Opening the ISAT application
  • Logging into the ISAT
  • Taking the ISAT
  • Using the tools in the ISAT
  • Ending the ISAT
Students and teachers should review the Student Tutorials before the ISAT Practice Tests are taken. A student may review the tutorial as often as desired. Each tutorial is different, so students should review the tutorials that coincide with the grade and subject of the tests they are taking. Through the tutorials, students gain firsthand experience with the ISAT and its features. It is imperative that students review the appropriate tutorial before they take the actual ISAT.

The tutorials are available at Student Tutorials for both Mac and PC. The Student Tutorials require Flash v7r63, and Flash version 9r16 is strongly recommended for best performance. If you need to upgrade your Flash Player, you can visit the Player Download Center. The Student Tutorials can be run on PC or Mac and work best with Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.

The Student Tutorials are available to anyone who would like to learn about the features of the ISAT, including educators, but also parents, local boards, etc. The Student Tutorials can be used to inform all citizens about the future direction of educational testing and about what students are experiencing in Idaho today!
